We do one thing
Boats on trailers, over the road, up and down the East Coast. Not general freight with a boat division. That focus is why the quote you get accounts for the permits your beam triggers and the access at both ends, rather than treating your hull like a container that happens to be shaped oddly.
Equipment built for hulls
Hydraulic delivery trailers that adjust to the shape of the boat, air ride, air brakes and full lighting, all to DOT specification, rated to 80 feet and 80,000 pounds. Water launch is available on most moves, which means no crane booking and one less calendar to coordinate.
Straight numbers
Rates start at about $1 a mile. The figure you get back reflects the real route, the real permits and the real access, so it does not move once the driver sees your dock road. Where a move needs escorts or a wide-load designation, that is in the quote from the start rather than arriving later as a change order.
The reasons owners come back
- Everything moves under contract. Terms in writing, preparation instructions supplied before the truck arrives.
- References on request. Most of our work arrives by repeat business and word of mouth.
- We work the yard’s calendar. The travel lift is the constraint, not the truck. We book around it.
- Local knowledge that shows up in the quote. Which causeways have height limits, which marina roads need a shuttle for the last mile, which yards are booked solid in April.
- We will tell you not to. If trucking the boat is the wrong call, you will hear that instead of a sales pitch.
What we ask of you
Accurate dimensions, the yard names on both ends, and a boat that has been properly prepared. Our responsibility begins when the boat is lifted onto the trailer and ends when it is lifted off and signed for, so the preparation window is the part that needs your attention.
If the boat has been sitting for years and the numbers no longer justify the move, we will say so. Selling locally or looking at a boat donation program is sometimes the honest answer, and we would rather give it than book the job.
Ready when you are
Tell us the boat, the two addresses and the week you have in mind. The quote comes back with the permit and access notes already accounted for.
